B2.Putovanje do jezera
Putovanje do jezera
Journey to the Lake
In a small village surrounded by dense forests on the slopes of Fruška Gora lived a girl named Sara. Sara loved nature and often explored the nearby paths with her friends. One spring morning, while the sun lit up the green treetops, Sara suggested that she and her friends, Miloš and Lena, go to the nearby lake for which the village was famous. The lake was surrounded by tall trees, and its water was so clear that the sky was reflected in it. Sara packed a backpack with sandwiches, water, and an old camera she had inherited from her grandfather. Excited about the day in nature, she set off with her friends towards the forest.
The path to the lake led through narrow trails overgrown with ferns and flowers. Birds were singing, and the occasional breeze carried the scent of pines. Sara walked in front, while Miloš and Lena talked and laughed. The trail was not easy – in some places it was muddy from the recent rain, and sometimes they had to jump over tree roots. Sara enjoyed every step, admiring the beauty of the forest. Halfway, they came across a small stream gurgling over the stones. Sara stopped to take a photo, wanting to capture the moment. While adjusting the camera, she noticed a deer drinking water nearby. She quietly showed her friends, and they all stopped, enchanted by the scene.
When they finally reached the lake, the view was even more beautiful than they expected. The water sparkled in the sun, and wild violets bloomed around the lake. Sara, Miloš, and Lena sat on the shore and unpacked their sandwiches. While eating, they talked about everything – from school to summer plans. Sara spoke about her dream of traveling one day and photographing nature around the world. Miloš wanted to become a chef, and Lena dreamed of writing a book. The lake seemed like the perfect place for such conversations, as if nature itself was listening and supporting their dreams. After eating, Sara took the camera and began taking pictures of the lake, the trees, and her friends laughing on the shore.
As the sun was setting, the friends decided to return to the village. The return was calmer, because they were tired but happy. Sara carried the camera around her neck, satisfied with the photos she had taken. When they arrived in the village, the sky was orange, and stars were beginning to appear. Sara felt deep gratitude for the day spent in nature with her friends. She realized that such moments – simple, but filled with laughter and togetherness – are what make life special. She decided to go on such adventures more often, carrying in her heart the beauty of the lake and the dreams they had shared on its shore.

B2.Zvezda nad planinom
The Star Above the Mountain
In a small village at the foot of Zlatibor Mountain, there lived a young girl named Mila. The village was quiet, surrounded by dense forests and babbling streams flowing through the valleys. Mila was known for her curiosity and courage. From a young age, she listened to the elders’ tales about a mysterious star that, according to legend, appeared only once every hundred years at the top of the highest mountain. It was said that whoever found the star could have one wish granted. Mila dreamed of discovering this star and uncovering the truth about its magic. One spring morning, as the sun was just rising behind the mountain peaks, she decided to set out on her journey. She packed a backpack with bread, cheese, a bottle of water, and an old map she found in her grandfather’s house. The map was yellowed with age, but it still showed the paths leading to the mountain’s summit. “If the star exists, I will find it,” she said to herself as she tied her shoelaces and headed toward the forest.
The journey was not easy. The paths were steep, and the forest was thick, filled with strange sounds. Birds sang, but occasionally there was a rustle that sounded like footsteps. Mila wasn’t scared, but she felt she wasn’t alone. As she climbed, she noticed an old man sitting on a stump by the path. He had a long white beard and eyes that sparkled as if they held a secret. “Where are you going, young lady?” the old man asked in a soft voice. “I’m looking for the star above the mountain,” Mila replied bravely. “I heard it can grant a wish.” The old man smiled. “Many have sought it, but few have reached the top. The star is not just light—it’s a test. If you want to find it, you must be ready for challenges.” Mila nodded and thanked the old man. His words intrigued her, but she didn’t want to waste time. She continued her journey, carrying a mix of excitement and fear in her heart.
The first challenge came when she reached a deep canyon. The only way across was an old wooden bridge that looked like it might collapse under the slightest weight. Mila paused, staring into the abyss below. Her heart pounded, but she knew there was no turning back. She took a deep breath and carefully stepped onto the bridge. Each step caused a creak, but the bridge held. When she reached the other side, she felt a surge of pride. “The first step is done,” she thought. She pressed on, but the path grew more difficult. The trails narrowed, and the forest thickened. At one point, she heard a whisper from behind the trees. “Who’s there?” she called out, but there was no reply. Instead, she saw a shadow vanish among the branches. She decided to ignore her fear and kept going.
Soon, she emerged into a clearing where a large stone stood with an inscription carved into it: “Only those who believe in themselves will see the star.” Mila read the words and felt a warmth in her chest. “I believe in myself,” she said aloud and continued her climb. The ascent grew more strenuous, but Mila didn’t give up. After several hours, she reached the top of the mountain. It was late evening, and the sky was covered with thousands of stars. At the highest point of the summit stood a small stone glowing with a soft, bluish light. Mila knew this was what she had been searching for—the star above the mountain. She approached the stone and gently touched it. At that moment, a wave of energy surged through her.
Before her appeared a luminous figure, resembling a woman in a white dress. “You have arrived, Mila,” the figure said in a gentle voice. “The star is not just a stone—it is a symbol of your strength and courage. What is your wish?” Mila hesitated. She had expected to know what to say, but now she wasn’t sure. She thought of her village, her family, her friends. She realized she didn’t want anything material. “I wish for my village to be a place where everyone can dream and achieve their dreams,” she said at last. The figure smiled. “Your wish is noble. The star will help you, but remember—true strength comes from your heart.”
When Mila descended the mountain and returned to the village, everything seemed the same, yet something had changed. The people were happier, the children played more often, and the elders told stories with more hope. Mila realized that the star hadn’t changed the village—it had changed her. She became more confident, ready to inspire others. From that day on, she shared her story with anyone who would listen, reminding them that everyone carries a star in their heart, if only they believe and move forward bravely.
